**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Webinar via email.**
As we head into our 3rd Annual Ren Faire on Saturday May 2nd, we wanted to celebrate with romance authors who write about Ren Faires! And, we're so thrilled that Jen DeLuca, Jamie Pacton, and Sam Parks will be joining us. If you know of their books, you know that their Ren Faire settings for luscious romance stories are to die for (not on by the sword, just metaphorically :). We hope you can join us for this virtual discussion about Jen, Jamie, and Sam's characters, the ideal place at a Ren Faire to fall in love, and the vagaries of choosing between grog and mead. Then, after this program, we hope you will jump on your valiant steed and join us, in person, for our Ren Faire! Where you, too, may juggle your way into your dream date's heart.

About Jen: Jen DeLuca is the USA Today bestselling author of the Well Met series, inspired by her time volunteering as a pub wench with her local Renaissance Faire, as well as the Boneyard Key series, set in a haunted Florida tourist town. Jen loves Publix chicken tender subs, cold brew coffee, and the Oxford comma. She lives in the Arizona desert with her husband, their rescue dog, and almost too many cats.
About Jamie: Jamie Pacton is a bestselling, award-winning author who grew up minutes away from the National Storytelling Center in the mountains of East Tennessee. She has a BA and MA in English Literature, and currently teaches English at the college level. While pursuing her dream of being an author, she worked as a waitress, pen salesperson, lab assistant, art museum guard, bookseller, pool attendant, nanny, and lots of other weird jobs in between. Her writing has appeared in national and local magazines, and she spent many years blogging for Parents.com. Currently, Jamie lives in Oregon with her family. Her YA contemporary books include Furious, Lucky Girl, and The Life and (Medieval) Times of Kit Sweetly. Her YA fantasy novels include, The Hyacinth Labyrinth, The Absinthe Underground and The Vermilion Emporium. Her adult fantasy romance debut, Homegrown Magic, waspublished with Del Rey in 2025
About Sam: Sam writes romance that celebrates love in all its iterations – whether swoon-worthy, geeky, or, better yet, a mix of both. Her Roll for Romance series sees characters as nerdy as she is rolling the dice in more ways than one, whilst her wanderlusty Santorini duology has sold over 100,000 copies.
Armed with an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Roehampton and editing experience at Big Five publishers, Sam knows her way around both sides of a manuscript. She moved from the US to the UK for her MA, and she now calls the South Coast home with her partner and her golden retriever Kirby.
When she's not chipping away at her endless TBR or making her own characters roll for charisma, Sam can be found crocheting, solving a jigsaw puzzle, wild swimming with Kirby, or listening to horror podcasts (despite being an absolute scaredy cat). She also firmly believes that the best stories happen around a table with friends, dice, and far too many snacks, and her TTRPG campaigns are either meticulously archived or in one ear and out the other – no in-between.Please register for this event and you'll receive the link in the confirmation and reminder emails - make sure to check your spam folder for them, the email will be coming from Zoom.
This program is brought to you in collaboration with a multitude of MA & NH Libraries . It is sponsored by the Friends of the Ashland Public Library.
