Thursday, December 1810:30—11:30 AMOnline - Zoom

**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A VIRTUAL PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE PLACE VIA ZOOM. Registrants will receive a link to access the Zoom Webinar via email.**
Rodin is believed by many scholars to be the first modern sculptor. Not inclined to decorative and thematic works, his stark realism, as seen in the Burghers of Calais, set a new direction for sculpture. Rodin worked on the Gates of Hell for his entire life, many of the 186 figures becoming iconic sculptures on their own, such as The Thinker and The Kiss. Examine Rodin’s processes in both marble and bronze and explore his relationships with other artists such as Camille Claudel and Claude Monet. Led by art historian Martha Chiarchiaro, owner of Seeing History.
